DIY technique for car beauty－8 things you must know about car washing.

1. Don’t wash the car when the paint is not yet cooling down, which will cause the car paint aging early and get injured.

When the car paint is washing under high temperature, which will cause the car paint to shrink excessively and the originally smooth car paint will become less glossy and even appear fine lines. From the point of view of car beauty, car washing should wait for the paint to cool down, we should not wash the car immediately especially after the long journey is over.

2. Do NOT wash the car under the sun.

This will not make the water drops remaining on the car body dry quickly. It will let the water marks left and extremely difficult to clean then influences the cleaning effect next time. Therefore, no matter you are DIY car washing or cleaning your car at the beauty shop, be careful not to wash the car under the sun.

3. Do NOT use hot water or groundwater to clean the car body.

Because the substances contained in these waters may damage the car paint. If long-term use of groundwater containing high amounts of heavy metals for cleaning, it is easy to leave water marks and scales on the car surface after drying. It may cause iron powder adhesion and car paint change to YELLOW seriously!

4. Do NOT use a high-pressure water gun to flush the car body at close range.

The power of the high-pressure water gun is too strong, which is easy to damage the car body paint. Wash away the dirt and dust of car body first. Besides, in order to let the body slightly moist that can also reduce the damage of the high-pressure water gun on the car body paint. The suggestion of flushing is from top to bottom. You can follow the order like this: car roof → front windshield → engine hood → sides of vehicle → rear windshield → rear. Try to avoid being too close to the same position for long time when using a high-pressure water gun. It may also increase the risk of washing down a layer of ‘car paint skin’.

5. Do NOT use common detergents to wash the car.

Don't use washing powder, dishwashing liquid and soap to wash the car. Because these detergents have many pH values that are not neutral. Although the cleaning power is very strong, it will also wash off the protective film on the car paint. And it causes the car paint to lose gloss and even produce fine lines. Therefore, we highly recommended to choose the car wash that is most suitable for your car according to the color and function.

6. Do NOT wipe the car body with a towel that made from general materials.

After washing the car thoroughly, many people like to wipe the car directly with a random cloth. In fact, your car paint is crying! In addition, there are some poor water absorption with low-quality towels that will lose hair and discolor on your car paint after wiping. These small fibers left on the paint will also cause another damage on the car body. There are 3 kinds of towel choices for you. Plas Chamois towel, PU superfine fiber cloth and microfiber cloth. Their water absorption is excellent and they will not leave cotton flock and water marks.

7. Do NOT use dirty remover.

There may be extremely corrosive impurities attached to the car body, such as scale, bird droppings, acid rain, insect corpses, fruit juice…… etc. These stains are difficult to remove completely without using "special" methods. But you need to use the right method! If you only want to remove these impurities without considering the nature of the dirt remover, it is possible that the impurities are removed but the paint is injured. We suggest to select the appropriate dirt remover or use magic CLAY for removing impurities. The impurities will disappear immediately and the paint can be smooth afterwards.

8. Do NOT use hard cleaning tools to remove stains on the car paint.

Use plastic squeegee, blade or sheet iron to scratch the stains on the car surface is easy damage the car paint and also increase the number of fine lines.

The paint on the body is like human skin. If we maintain well so it will look pretty. If we do poor maintenance, it may not look great!
